Iskandar has over 19 years of combined experience and industrial exposure in oil and gas, palm oil, renewables and biofuels, information technology, telecommunication and property development. His work experience includes with Markmore Group of Companies, Renong Group Berhad, Time dotCom Berhad and UEM Berhad.

He has been responsible for developing, structuring, executing and managing direct investments and fund-raising activities across various industries. He has led and executed direct investments in several major industrial projects both locally and internationally. His current portfolio includes investments, deal structuring and negotiation, due diligence, business development, startups, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising (project and equity financing) and corporate services. He has deep expertise and focus in palm oil industry and renewables, and has developed several downstream projects in the area of biofuels and biochemicals. He was a founding team-member instrumental in setting-up upstream oil and gas business for a Malaysia-based private equity group. On the downstream side, he was the Project Director responsible for establishing Malaysia’s first specialized ultra-heavy oil bitumen refining business; this venture has prospered to become the largest Malaysian exporter of bitumen, churning revenue in excess of MYR1 billion annually.

Iskandar holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) degree from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
